Charles D. Hale has an extensive background in municipal law enforcement, and has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in criminal justice from California State University at Long Beach. He began his career as a police office with the El Segundo, California, Police Department after serving six years with the U. S. Marine Corps. With the El Segundo Police Department, he also held positions of Detective and Sergeant. Mr. Hale has served as a consultant in criminal justice and police operation to more than 250 cities....

Heavens Gate was a very good book. I enjoyed it very much and it kept me wanting to turn the page to find out what happens next!! It was an easy read and has suspense, romance, history and law enforcement and some unexpected events. The author does a great job describing the places and events that are occurring in the book and its easy for the reader to visualize what is happening. Enjoyed the book very much and I highly recommend! The last 10 chapters really had me on the edge of my seat!!!
